Hornet Stadium
Location The centerpiece of the Alex G. Spanos Sports Complex, Hornet Stadium was built in 1969 and renovated by Fred Anderson in 1992. In 2010, the playing surface was replaced with state-of-the-art FieldTurf. The venue has hosted World League football, the Canadian Football League, the United Football League, the U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials in 2000 and 2004, and the NCAA Div. I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Box Office The football stadium ticket office now is located on the south east corner of the stadium at Gate 4.
Payments Accepted Cash, Check, Discover, VISA, Mastercard, and American Express are all forms of payment accepted on gameday.
Will Call If you purchased tickets online or through the Central Box Office, you have the option of picking your tickets up at WILL CALL. The will call booth is located on the southeast corner of the stadium adjacent to the football stadium ticket office. The will call booth opens 2 hours prior to game time. Please be prepared to show a valid photo I.D. at the will call window.

The Nest
Location Built in 1953, the Nest is one of the most historic facilities among all NCAA Division I member universities. With a seating capacity of approximately 1,200, the intimate setting results in a great opportunity for the fans to be close to the action from every seat in the gym. It also provides the Hornets one of the best home-court advantages in the NCAA. In 2002, the Hornet men's basketball team sold out every game in Big Sky Conference play.

Directions From the south entrance (Highway 50), continue on State University Drive South past the stadium. Follow the road around campus to Lot 1. Turn right at the stop sign. Yosemite Hall (Hornets Nest) is at the far end of Lot 1. From the north entrance (J Street), stay to the right as you drive on campus. Follow the road as it veers right to State University Drive North. Turn left at the first stop sign and park in Lot 1. Yosemite Hall (Hornets Nest) is at the far end of Lot 1.

During the basketball season, the following lots have been designated for guest parking: For all games (Sun.-Sat.), guests may park in Lot 1 which is located north of the Hornets Nest. Hornet Field
Location Hornet Field became a permanent stadium in 2002 and is currently home to both men’s and women’s soccer. The Sacramento State men's soccer team has proved Hornet Field to be an extremely intimidating venue, as they have been unbeaten in 21 straight contests (16-0-5), including a 2-1 victory over Santa Clara in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 2010. John Smith Field
Location Sacramento State’s John Smith Field opened in 1953, was renovated in 2002 and most recently renamed prior to the 2010 season in honor of former skipper John Smith, who coached the program for 32 seasons. The renovation in 2002 included permanent stadium seating with 150 VIP chairbacks and 1,050 general admission seats. The field was also renovated with new sunken dugouts, new sod was laid between home plate and the backstop, and padding was added along the backstop and dugout areas. Current head coach

Hornet Baseball Field is about 200 yards past Hornet Stadium on the right. - Exit Westbound Hwy. 50 at Howe/Power Inn Road straight ahead to College Town Drive. Once on College Town Drive, follow same directions as above. - Exit Westbound Business 80 at J Street. Make at left turn on to J Street, and follow for about four miles. Location Shea Stadium was built in the Fall of 1986 by the hard work of Irene Shea, who had just agreed to take over the program as head coach, and assistant coaches Jim Beitia and Alan Segal. The new field included a concrete backstop, a permanent outfield fence, new concrete dugouts and a re-leveled and sodded playing surface. It was the site of the 1987 NCAA Div.
