Dan DeVos was promoted to his current position of Director of the Athletic Annual Fund for the Charlotte 49ers Athletic Department in the spring of 2007. DeVos handles all facets of the 49ers Student Athlete Scholarship Fund, responsible for new business development and assists with the 49ers Football initiative as a Football Seat License specialist. He originally began his career with the Charlotte 49ers Athletic Department in 1993 in the Athletic Ticket Office. He became the Assistant Athletic Director of Sales and Ticket Operations in 2001 before moving up to an Associate Athletic Director of Marketing, Sponsorships and Ticket Operations in 2005.

From 2005-2007, DeVos served on the National Board of Directors for the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA), a 1,000+ member organization devoted to marketing and promotions of intercollegiate athletic programs. More recently DeVos was a member of the University City Rotary Club for the last three years and is a member of the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD).

DeVos received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Charleston, W.VA in 1991. He lettered in baseball for four years and authored a no-hitter his senior year. He went on to earn a M.S. in Sport Administration from West Virginia University in 1992.   

A native of Rochester, NY, he currently resides in Harrisburg with his wife Aimee and their two boys Nolan and JJ. He enjoys playing golf and coaching youth sports in his spare time.
