2015 - Outdoor: Finished eighth in the 3000m steeplechase at the Conference USA Championships scoring a point for the Niners running a time of 9:43.40....Won the 3K steeplechase at the Charlotte Invitational running a career-best time of 9:29.75 to rank 10th all-time in program history.
2014 Cross Country: Competed in four meets for the Niners....Earned All-Conference USA third-team honors at the C-USA Championships running a 8K PR time of 25:08.3 to place 17th and was the top finisher for Charlotte...Ran a time of 32:25.8 in the 10K at the Southeast Regional XC Championships to finish 107th overall.
2014 Outdoor: His seasons best 800m time came at the Charlotte Invitational where he clocked 1:55.22 to place 10th...At the CUSA Outdoor Championships he ran the 1500m in PR time at 3:56.87 Indoor: Ran a season best 800m time of 1:57.51 at the Virginia Tech Challenge and a best Mile time of 4:21.62 at the Bob Pollock Invitational...His PR 1000m time came at the Hokie Invite where he ran a time of 2:34.44.
2013 Cross Country: Competed in four meets...Best finish came during the Royals Challenge placing 18th overall (27:07.76-8K)...Best performance came during the C-USA Championship finishing the 8k course in 27:03.69...Also ran at Southeast Regional Championships where he ran the 10k course in 32:36.7.
2013 - Outdoor: Did not compete. Indoor: Had a team-best performance in the mile of 4:20.95 at the Atlantic 10 Championship where he finished tenth…Was 21st at the Hokie Invitational in the 3000m with a time of 8:46.88.
2012 - Cross Country: Competed in six meets during the season ... was a top performer for the team and led Charlotte in two races ...was first for the 49ers and 27th overall at the Toledo Regional (20:05.4) and 58th overall at the Atlantic 10 Championships (27:08.4-8K) ... Finished third at the Charlotte Duals with a 5K time of 16:08 and was named A-10 Men's Rookie of the Week following that performance ... Finished 169th at the NCAA Southeast Regional (33:52.30-10K).
2012 - Indoor: Ran a time of 1:59.37 in the 800m at the Virginia Tech Hokie Invite ... Clocked 4:22.08 in the mile at the JDL Invite ... Competed on the DMR that finished in 10:16.15 at the Virginia Tech Invitational.
2011 - Cross Country: Competed in two meets unattached.
Prep: Two-time regional champions in track and field … Three-time conference champions in track and field … Named track MVP in 2010 and cross country MVP in 2011 … Senior Scholar Athlete Award.
Personal: Son of Belaynesh and Abraham Dentamo … Brother Adu Dentamo ran cross country for Charlotte and was a four-time All-Conference honoree … Computer Engineering major … Born July 21, 1993.
