Reichow takes second at Oz

MINNEAPOLIS – The South Dakota State men’s cross country team finished in second at the Oz Memorial on Friday night. Joel Reichow led the Jacks again this season with his second place finish.

Reichow ran a personal best in the 6k with his time of 19:19.5. Host Minnesota’s Steve Sulkin won the meet with his time of 19:17.7.

Drew Kraft was the second Jackrabbit to finish in the top-ten. Kraft finished in eighth with his overall time of 19:42.8.

Trevor Capra, Wilson Hacker and Brendan Sage all ran their first 6k race of their college careers. Capra finished in 18th with his time of 20:10.1, Sage clocked-in at 19:49.7 to take 12th and Hacker placed 23rd with his time of 20:25.4.

Andrew Thies finished in 17th with his time of 20:02.0.

Anthony Bongard ran his first race for the Jackrabbits in over two years, he finished in 21st with a final time of 20:21.2.

The Jackrabbits will not compete again until the end of the month when they go back to the Les Bolstad Golf Course to run in the Griak Invitational. The Griak Invitational will be held on Sept. 28.
