Weather-permitting, the South Dakota State University baseball team's weekend slate of games against Omaha and Western Illinois will be moved to Sioux City, Iowa.

SDSU now is scheduled to play one game against league-leading Omaha at noon Saturday at Sioux City North High School (4200 Cheyenne Blvd.). On Sunday, SDSU is slated to host Western Illinois in a doubleheader starting at noon at Sioux City North High School.

In addition, North Dakota State is moving its games to Sioux City this weekend. The Bison are scheduled to play Western Illinois at North High School following the SDSU-Omaha game on Saturday, before moving to Briar Cliff University on Sunday for a doubleheader against Omaha.

A determination, in consultation with Summit League officials, will be made at noon Friday if weather and field conditions will allow all parties to play in Sioux City as now scheduled or if other revisions to the schedule will be considered.

The Jackrabbits, 17-12 overall, enter the week in second place in the Summit League standings with a 5-3 mark. Omaha is atop the standings with a perfect 8-0 mark in league play, but 14-16 overall. Western Illinois is last in the Summit League race at 1-7 in league play, 7-25 overall.
