Jacks 4th at CSU Bakersfield Spring Invite

BAKERSFIELD, CALIF -- The Jacks opened play at the CSU Bakersfield Spring Invitational on Monday and currently sit in 4th place through two rounds.

SDSU shot a team score of 321 in the first round and 327 in round two to open the tournament which is being held at the 6,200-yard, par-74 Bakersfield Country Club.

Teams competing include the host, CSU Bakersfield, SDSU, Cal Poly A, Cal Poly B and Cal State Northridge.

Senior Morgan Fitts is four-over par and sits in third place after opening rounds of 75 and 77 (152).

A pair of Jacks are tied for 14th place. Sophomore Amber Houser posted rounds of 83 and 82 (165) and freshman Brianna Janu carded rounds of 82 and 83 (165).

Freshman Sydney MacDonald is a stroke back from her teammates with rounds of 81 and 85 (166) and sits in a tie for 17th heading into the final round.

Sophomore Alli Plath shot a 91 and 85, sitting in 25th after day two.

Cal State Northridge’s Elisabeth Haavardsho is seven-under par after posting rounds of 74 and 67 (141). Her second round score of 67 is a course record at Bakersfield CC.

Cal State Northridge is also atop the team standings after day one with rounds of 309 and 296 (605) and hold a 17-stroke lead over Cal Poly A (307-315-622).

The final round begins Tuesday morning at 8:30 PT.
