SDSU men in ninth at conference championships

PRIMM, Nev. - The South Dakota State men's golf team is in ninth place out of 10 teams at the Summit League Championships at the Primm Valley Golf Club Desert Course. The Jackrabbit men compiled a 36-hole score of 596 (291-305) on Monday.

Greg Fehrman leads the Jacks firing a 143 (70-73) and is tied for 12th. Hudson Carpenter, who was named to the second team all-league squad prior to the championships, carded a 149 (74-75) and is in 37th place. David Smith registered a 150 (74-76) and is tied for 38th. Lukas Davison tallied a 154 (73-81) and is tied for 45th. Dillon Schultz shot a 157 (76-81) and is in 48th place.

IUPUI leads the field with a 36-hole score of 556 (265-291). Southern Utah and IPFW are tied for second with scores of 566 (278-288 and 279-287 respectively). Ben Engle of IUPUI leads individually with a score of 132 (62-70).

The third and final round tee off Tuesday morning.
