Penn makes its season debut Friday night against the No. 2 Blue Devils ... The Quakers are coming off of an 8-5 season in which they lost to Yale in the Ivy League Tournament ... Seniors Zack Losco, Maxx Meyer and goaltender Brian Feeney all earned preseason All-America recognition from Inside Lacrosse ... Penn was picked to finish fourth in the Ivy League according to IL with Losco and Feeney earning All-Ivy honors in a vote of the league’s coaches ... Losco is the top returning scorer with 29 points (23g, 6a) a year ago, while Feeney finished with a 7.29 goals against average and a .589 save percentage ... He has fared well against the Blue Devils, sporting a .593 save percentage and a 8.00 goals against average.
Scouting Stony Brook
Stony Brook comes to Durham with a 1-1 record after cruising past Lafayette 18-10 Tuesday night ... The Sea Wolves lost their opener to Marist 13-12 ... After two outings, Stony Brook is averaging 15 goals per game with Brody Eastwood leading the way with 10 ... Mike Rooney has four goals and three assists and Kyle Rowe anchors the faceoff game with a .795 win percentage (35-of-44) at the X ...  In goal Patrick Fleming  has played all but two minutes for a 11.19 goals against average and a .405 save percentage ... The Sea Wolves are 7-of-9 on man-up chances and have yet to give up an extra-man score ... This will be Stony Brook’s first road game of the season. 
About The Blue Devils
Duke is off to a strong start with wins over Jacksonville and No. 4 Denver ... The Blue Devils are well balanced on offense with six different players owning five-plus points ... Nine players overall have multiple points ... Senior Jordan Wolf is the team’s top scorer (3g, 6a), while Josh Dionne, Deemer Class and Kyle Keenan all have six points apiece ... Defensively, the trio of close defensemen Casey Carroll, Chris Hipps and Jamie Ikeda have held opponents to 28 shots per game ... Carroll has a team-high five caused turnovers, while Ikeda and Luke Duprey have three apiece ... Both junior Kyle Turri and sophomore Luke Aaron have seen time between the pipes ... Aaron most recently came off the bench to make nine saves in the 14-10 victory over Denver.
Last Time We Met
Penn outscored Duke 5-1 in the fourth quarter to earn a 14-9 win over the Blue Devils at Franklin Field last season ... The Quakers trailed 8-7 early in the third, but scored six of the game’s final eight goals to post their second win over Duke in three seasons ... Tim Schwalje had seven points (3g, 4a) and Brian Feeney made 15 saves to lead Penn to victory ... Myles Jones and Jordan Wolf were the lone two Blue Devils to register multiple goals ... Dan Wigrizer made 14 saves for Duke.

Duke has faced off against an Ivy League foe every year but one (2004) since 1993 ... The Blue Devils are 55-36-1 all-time against the seven programs and 18-5 under head coach John Danowski ... Keenan Eyeing Breakout Season
Inside Lacrosse wrote in December that it thought Kyle Keenan was a prime candidate for the ACC’s “Breakout Stud” ... Keenan appears to be on track to be just that for the Blue Devils with four goals and two assists in his first two games this year ... Running on the second midfield line, the native of Smithtown, N.Y., has matched his goal production from both 2012 and 2013 and is just four points shy of matching his point total from last season.

With 96 career goals, senior attackman Josh Dionne is just four shy of becoming the 16th Blue Devil in program history to register 100 career goals ... He will join classmate Jordan Wolf on the list
Wolf Riding Point Scoring Streak
With three points versus Denver, Wolf extended his nation’s-best point scoring streak to 43 games  ... In the past 43 games, the Wynnewood, Pa., native has 92 goals, 67 assists for 159 points ... He has been held without a point in just five games in his career and Duke is 1-4 in those contests ... Wolf was last held scoreless in the 2011 NCAA semifinal against Maryland - May 28, 2011.
Wolf Climbing Career Lists
Wolf continues to move up the Duke career lists ... His 210 points - 123 goals and 87 assists - rank eighth in Duke history ... He is 26 points shy of moving into the top five with the likes of recent stars Matt Danowski, Zack Greer, Max Quinzani and Ned Crotty ... The senior captain also ranks in the top 20 in the ACC in career points and is four shy of climbing into the conference’s top-20 in
career goals.
Fowler Picking Up Where He Left Off
After setting the NCAA single-season record for faceoff victories in 2013, senior faceoff specialist Brendan Fowler has picked up where he left off for the Blue Devils ... Fowler has taken all but one faceoff this season and sports a .618 success rate ... Much like last year Fowler improves as the game goes on ... He has won 16-of-28 draws in the first half (.571) and 18-of-27 restarts in the second (.667) ... He has picked up ground balls on 25 of his 34 faceoff wins this season to rank second in the ACC with 12.50 ground balls per game.
