DURHAM, N.C. – Duke junior wide receiver Jamison Crowder was named ACC Specialist of the Week for the second time this season after totaling 109 punt return yards including an 82-yard touchdown against Pittsburgh last Saturday.

A 5-9, 175-pound native of Monroe, N.C., Crowder averaged 36.3 yards per punt return on three attempts in the 58-55 loss to Pitt and took his first punt back 82 yards for his second return touchdown of the season. He also logged punt returns of 12 and 15 yards on the way to 279 all-purpose yards, which ranks as the fifth highest single-game total in Duke history.

For the game, Crowder grabbed seven receptions for a season-high 141 yards and totaled three touchdowns, also scoring on a 62-yard reception and a seven-yard rush to become the first Duke player since Scottie Montgomery in 1999 to score via reception, rush and kick return.

Through four games, Crowder leads the nation with 258 punt return yards, ranks sixth with 19.8 yards per return and is one of only three players in the country with two punt returns for touchdowns. His 82-yard punt return ranked as the second longest punt return in the NCAA this season.

Crowder was previously named ACC Specialist of the Week on Sept. 3 following the 45-0 season-opening win over N.C. Central when he totaled 113 punt return yards and a 76-yard touchdown.

Crowder and the Blue Devils will look to improve to 3-2 on the year this Saturday against Troy at 3 p.m. at Wallace Wade Stadium. Tickets are available at or by calling (919) 681-BLUE.
