DURHAM, N.C. – Duke’s defensive linemen combined for six sacks and safety Jacques Bristow intercepted a pair of passes to highlight Wednesday morning’s 85-snap scrimmage at Wallace Wade Stadium.

Defensive end Jamal Wallace led the way with two sacks while tackle A.J. Wolf posted one sack along with one fumble recovery.  Other linemen registering sacks on the day were nose guard Jamal Bruce, end Allen Jackson and end Jordan DeWalt-Ondijo.

“It was pretty good football to watch,” said Duke head coach David Cutcliffe.  “I know this, we have a lot of individual players that are getting better, and that’s been a focus of ours this spring.”

Offensively, quarterback Anthony Boone completed 11-of-19 passing attempts for 166 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.  The scoring strikes covered 16 and 56 yards to tight end Issac Blakeney and wide receiver Jamison Crowder, respectively.  Backup quarterback Thomas Sirk was eight-of-15 through the air for 66 yards and one interception.

Blakeney finished the day with five catches for 43 yards while wideout Max McCaffrey hauled in five passes for a team-high 76 yards.  Duke’s ground attack was led by Shaquille Powell’s eight-carry, 48-yard performance while Josh Snead rushed nine times for 47 yards.

On the special teams front, kicker Ross Martin booted field goals of 37 and 42 yards along with two PATs.

Duke will host the annual Spring Game on April 13 at 4 p.m. at Wallace Wade Stadium.  Season tickets are on sale at or by calling the Duke Athletic Ticket Office at 919-681-BLUE.
