DURHAM, N.C. - Six Blue Devil divers will be seeking a berth to the 2013 NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships when they compete at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships Monday through Wednesday, March 11-13 at the University of Tennessee's Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tenn.

Divers from the seven states in Zone B will take to the boards in the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform events, with the top 10 women and top five men advancing to the pool of 41 women and 35 men who will dive at the NCAA Championships later this month.

Junior Nick McCrory, this year's Atlantic Coast Conference champion in all three disciplines and a two-time national champion on the platform, will return to the Zone B Championships this week following a one-year absence to train for the 2012 London Olympic Games. He previously won the 3-meter and platform events at the 2011 edition of the regional meet, and will be in pursuit of his third trip to the NCAA Championships.

Senior Jordan Long will be seeking his first qualification to the NCAA Championships meet after earning a spot in the men's 3-meter springboard finals at last month's ACC Championships. Last year's Zone B Championships saw the Grosse Pointe, Mich., native take 15th on the 1-meter board. Long posted a season-best scores of 352.65 on the 1-meter board and 396.60 at the 3-meter height.

Joining McCrory and Long at the Zones meet will be sophomore Clay Pinckney, who finished 12th in the 3-meter event and 18th in the 1-meter at this year's ACC Championships. Freshman Deon Reid will compete in all three events this week after collecting points for the Blue Devils in all three disciplines at the conference championships.

On the women's side, freshman Kendall McClenney will be in action in all three competitions while fellow rookie Jaimee Gundry is slated to dive in the 3-meter and platform events. Gundry qualified for the finals of the platform event at the ACC Championships, coming in seventh with a finals score of 252.30, in addition to turning in a 13th-place finish on the 3-meter board and a 23rd-place showing at the 1-meter height. Meanwhile, McClenney earned a pair of 14th-place finishes in the conference in the springboard events.

The 2013 NCAA Zone B Diving Championships begin Monday at 11 a.m. with the preliminaries of the men's 1-meter competition and continue throughout the day and on Tuesday and Wednesday. Live video and live results will be available for the meet.
