•    Duke (13-21, 5-10 ACC) takes on Maryland (22-13, 5-10 ACC) this weekend in a three-game series at Bob “Turtle” Smith Stadium.
•    Duke is 7-7 on the road this season.
•    Duke is 83-79-1 all-time against Maryland. The Blue Devils and Terrapins last met in 2009 with Maryland taking two of three games in College Park. 
•    Duke is coming off an 0-1 week after dropping a 4-3 decision to UNC Greensboro on Tuesday.
•    Junior RHP Marcus Stroman leads all NCAA pitchers in strikeouts (85) and ranks third in strikeouts per nine innings (13.19).

•    Marcus Stroman’s career 3.40 ERA is the second-lowest in Duke history in the aluminum bat era (since 1974) and sixth all-time.
•    Duke’s starting weekend rotation of Marcus Stroman, Trent Swart and Robert Huber owns a combined ERA of 2.72 in 24 starts. Those three have amassed 157 strikeouts (9.72 K/9) and a 2.49:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 145.1 innings.
•    Stroman, Swart and Huber have pitched at least five innings in 19 of their 24 starts.

•    In ACC play, Marcus Stroman has a 2.08 ERA, ninth-best in the league, while Trent Swart holds a 2.73 ERA, 11th-best in conference games.
•    Marcus Stroman and Trent Swart are first and eighth, respectively, in strikeouts in ACC games.
•    Sophomore RHP Robert Huber ranks 21st in the ACC with a 3.43 ERA.
•    Senior David Putman ranks fifth in the ACC with four saves.
•    Freshman Andrew Istler ranks tied for sixth in the ACC with three saves.
•    David Putman and Andrew Istler both have two saves in ACC games.
•    Duke’s 3.60 team ERA in ACC games is the fifth-lowest in league play.
•    Duke’s .968 fielding percentage is tied for fourth-best in the ACC.
•    Duke senior CF Will Piwnica-Worms is the team’s active leader in 10 categories: hits (227), at bats (757), doubles (53), triples (14), home runs (14), RBI (127), runs (136), stolen bases (42), games played (202) and games started (200).
•    Sophomore Mike Rosenfeld is hitting .362 in ACC games, fourth-highest in league play. Rosenfeld’s 11 RBI in league games rank tied for fifth-most.
•    Freshman Andy Perez is batting .361 in ACC games, fifth-highest in the league. Perez’s 22 hits in conference play rank tied for first in the ACC.
•    Freshman Grant McCabe ranks 16th in the ACC with a .327 batting average. McCabe is second among ACC freshmen in batting average.
•    Duke ranks tied for seventh nationally in triples with 13. Seven different Blue Devils have tripled this season.
•    Duke has five players hitting .300 or better with two outs on the board: Mike Rosenfeld (.393), Will Piwnica-Worms (.389), Angelo La Bruna (.313), Mark Lumpa (.313) and Grant McCabe (.300).
•    Duke has driven in 63 runs with two outs. Will Piwnica-Worms has nine two-out RBI, while Angelo La Bruna, Grant McCabe and Mike Rosenfeld have eight apiece.
•    Duke’s freshman and sophomore position players have combined to start 234 games, equal to 76 percent of the team’s total starts. Senior Will Piwnica-Worms (33 starts) and juniors Jeff Kremer (31 starts) and Ryan Munger (8 starts) are the only upperclassmen to have started a game.
•    Sophomore Jordan Betts has started 90-of-90 games in his career.
•    12 different Blue Devils have stolen a base through the first 34 games. Duke is 38-for-55 in stolen base attempts this season after going 84-for-109 last season.
•    Duke has eight home runs through its first 34 games. The Blue Devils had 10 homers all last season.
