After clocking a program record time of 22.79 in a fifth-place showing at last week's 2012 ACC Women's Swimming & Diving Championships, Weaver topped that performance Saturday evening in Athens. She touched in a time of 22.76 to take third in the championship final of the 50 freestyle, while also surpassing the NCAA provisional standard in the event. Weaver also posted a mark of 22.81 in Saturday morning's preliminaries.
Sophomore Christine Wixted, an All-ACC performer in the 100 and 200 breaststroke at the ACC Championships, also competed at the last chance meet. Wixted grabbed a pair of NCAA 'B' cuts in the 100 breaststroke, swimming 1:01.89 in the prelims and returning Saturday evening for a 1:02.31 performance to finish sixth overall.
