MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. (April 17, 2012) --- After the second day of the 2012 Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championships in Muscle Shoals, Ala., senior Katie Mundy continues to lead the field after shooting a even-par, 72, on Tuesday, April 17.
Mundy, who is coming off a 3-under-par, 69, on the first day, sits atop the leaderboard, two strokes ahead of second-place Tonje Daffinrud (Denver) and Megan Vaughn (UALR). The Panthers jumped ahead of North Texas to move into third place in the standings, following day two's results. Along with Mundy's 3-under-par, FIU sophomore Shelby Coyle shot a 1-over-par for the day to move into a tie for 10th place with Arkansas State's Jennifer Welch. Coyle sits at 5-over-par through the first two days of the championship. Junior Yolecci Jimenez is currently in a five-way tie for 22nd at 12-over-par. Junior Tania Tare is tied for 27th at 13-over-par, while, senior Monica Miller sits at 19-over-par (tied for 43rd).
Wednesday's third round is set to begin at 9 a.m. ET on holes one and eleven.
