Johanna Gustafsdottir Breaks 400 IM Icelandic Record

MIAMI (July 24, 2012) - FIU sophomore Johanna Gustafsdottir recently broke her own Icelandic record in the 400 IM at the 2012 Speedo Southern Sectional Championships held in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., on July 13.

Gustafsdottir clocked in at 4:53.70, eclipsing her previous record of 4:57.46 set at the Icelandic Nationals last April.

The Panthers will kick off the 2012-13 season against the University of Houston on Friday, Oct. 12, at 6:00 p.m., at the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center in Miami, Fla. Admission to the meet is free.
