Student-athletes from four FIU teams partook in an FCAT Rally at Carlos Finlay Elementary School on Friday afternoon.
Members from the Panthers women’s soccer team, women’s basketball team, football and baseball teams and FIU cheerleaders along with Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development, Liz Augustin encouraged students, who are preparing for the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test, in the school’s auditorium.
FIU defensive lineman Jerrico Lee began the pep rally by giving a speech to the students encouraging them to do their best on the upcoming FCAT. The rest of the Panthers, including Roary, joined Lee in the rally while the elementary students broke out in cheers of “FIU, FIU, FIU”.
