After a quick exhibition tune-up versus Barry University on Aug. 16 in Miami Shores, Fla., the FIU men's soccer team will kick off the 2012 season with a home match against Bryant University on Aug. 24. The Panthers will then take to the road for a five-match road swing going up against North Florida (Aug. 31), Jacksonville (Sept. 2), Wisconsin (Aug. 7), UIC (Sept. 9), and 2011 NCAA Tournament participant Furman (Sept. 14). The contest versus the Paladins will take place in Ft. Myers, Fla.
The Panthers' only home match of September will commence on the 16th against UMKC before once again hitting the road to face Stetson (Sept. 22) and open Conference USA action against 2011 NCAA Tournament participant South Carolina (Sept. 29).
FIU then travels to Orlando, Fla., to face UCF (Oct. 3) before heading home for a three-match home stand against 2011 NCAA Participant UAB (Oct. 6), Howard (Oct. 12) and defending C-USA Champion SMU (Oct. 17).
The Panthers' next two conference road matches will take place against Kentucky (Oct. 21) and Marshall (Oct. 23) before FIU returns to the friendly confines of FIU Soccer Stadium to take on Memphis (Oct. 27). A quick trip up to Boca Raton, Fla., to face FAU (Oct. 30) closes out the month of October with the regular season finale at home against Tulsa (Nov. 3). The 2012 C-USA Championship will take place on Nov. 7-11 in Birmingham, Ala., hosted by UAB.
