Born June 20, 1988, in Santurce, Puerto Rico... daughter of Eduardo Vasquez Rosa and Ivonne Adorno... has one sister, Coral (23)... hobbies include spending time at the beach and listening to music... international business major who was a member of the 2007-08 Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Played for the Puerto Rican National Team at the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) Olympic Qualifying Tournament in December 2003 at the age of 15, making her the youngest player in the tournament... named captain of the Puerto Rican U-18 team during the NORCECA Continental Championships in July 2004... has a successful club background playing for the ARSEL Volleyball Club... placed first at the AAU Junior National Volleyball Championships in the 13 & Under division in 2001 and finished in second place at the 14 & Under tournament in 2002, earning AAU All-American honors at both events.
Became FIU's first volleyball All-American after garnering AVCA Honorable Mention All-America honors... was one of just six freshmen in the nation to be named to the All-America teams... also picked up a pair of honors from, being named to the Stellar Spiker Honorable Mention team and one of 15 freshmen on the Rising Stars team... ranked in the Top 10 nationally all year in kills per game and finished ninth with 5.14, tops among all freshmen in the country... that average jumped to 5.37 in conference action despite playing with a bone bruise in her knee for a month... averaged even higher with 5.44 against regionally ranked squads... named to the Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Team after FIU reached only its second-ever Sun Belt championship match... was also named to three all-tournament teams during the regular season... two-time Sun Belt Player of the Week... had two 30-kill matches, both against regionally-ranked teams, including an astonishing 35-kill performance with just one error (.680) in a four-game win over Xavier (9/2)... that performance ranked top in the Sun Belt and in the top 10 nationally... had double-digit kills in all but one match and 20-plus 13 times... also led all players with a match-high in kills in 22 of 28 matches played... had a match-high 21 kills versus nationally-ranked California (9/2)... debuted with the match-high of 14 kills on .444 hitting against nationally-ranked BYU (8/25)... her .309 attack percentage is 84 points above the AVCA All-Region guideline for outside hitters... her 550 kills ranks second on the school's all-time single-season list, while her 1,125 attempts are sixth... an all-around player who plays front and back row with nine double-doubles and 2.25 digs per game... played and started in 30 matches after having missed two with a minor midseason knee injury.

Repeated as an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American... began the season being named Sun Belt Preseason Player of the Year after having captained Puerto Rico and finishing among top scorers at the 2007 FIVB World Junior Championships over the summer... only a sophomore, became just the fourth player in school history to amass 1,000 career kills, reaching the milestone on Nov. 9... named AVCA All-Southeast Region, Collegiate Volleyball Update ( Stellar Spiker and First-Team All-Sun Belt for the second year in a row... capped off the year being named the FIU Female Student-Athlete of the Year at the school’s 2008 Athletic Academic Awards Banquet... was a three-time Sun Belt Player of the Week... finished the year ranked eighth nationally in kills (5.38 kpg) and tops in the Sun Belt, more than one whole kill higher than the next highest in the conference... was the only underclassman ranked in the Top 20 nationally in kills... posted double-digit kills in every match while collecting 11 double-doubles... had 20-plus kills in 16 of 27 matches played, including five times in a three-game match... hit a season-high 31 kills in the team's biggest win, a 3-2 victory at Missouri (9/2), where she was subsequently named the Tiger Invitational’s MVP (vs. Notre Dame and Missouri)... Led team in digs with 248 (2.58 pg), aces with 40 (0.42 pg), and in hitting percentage (.287)... recorded a season-best .588 hitting percentage (22-2-34) in win over Florida Atlantic (11/2)... collected a career-best 19 digs while tying her career-high of six blocks in Sun Belt Quarterfinal win over UALR (11/15).
