2006 (Junior): Breakout year for the first Golden Panther ever to gain recognition on a national postseason All-American team when he was selected as a Sports Illustrated.com honorable mention All-American kick return man...a two-time Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week after being named the league’s Special Teams POW after returning a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown against Bowling Green (9/16) to go along with a pair of punt returns and two interceptions and its Defensive Player of the Week after his fifth interception of the year against Maryland (9/23) that tied a school record...started all 10 games he played with 38 tackles (23 solo)...grabbed two interceptions against Bowling Green, returning one for a touchdown, that tied the school record and his average of 0.50 interceptions per game tied for first in the Sun Belt...ranked fifth nationally and tops in the conference in kickoff returns, averaging 29.5 yards per return and 31st in Division I-A and third in the SBC in punt returns with a 10-yard return average...best in the league with 1.60 passes defended per game...season-high eight tackles (four unassisted) that included 0.5 tackles for loss and two pass breakups in the seven overtime game at North Texas.

2005 (Sophomore): Came on to become one of the top defensive backs on the team at the left cornerback position...finished fourth on the squad with 49 tackles (32 solo)...intercepted two passes on the year and had three pass break-ups...posted a career-high 11 stops (three unassisted) in the home win over Western Kentucky (11/19)...picked off a pass and returned it 51 yards for a touchdown against Florida Atlantic (11/26), one of four FIU interceptions for TDs that tied an NCAA I-A record first established in 1987...recorded his first intercollegiate interception vs. Florida A&M (10/1)...collected seven tackles (five solo) at Louisiana-Lafayette (11/12) and had six stops in games at nationally-ranked Texas Tech (9/10), against North Texas (10/15) and in the come-from behind victory over Middle Tennessee (12/3)...returned six kickoffs for an average of 20.2 yards with a long return of 26 yards among three returns versus Middle Tennessee...averaged 15.8 all-purpose yards per game...missed spring practice after suffering a left groin injury.

2004 (Freshman): Saw action in seven games with three starts at cornerback...finished the season with 22 tackles (13 solo) and two pass break-ups...had five stops (four unassisted) in a starting assignment against Florida A&M (11/27), which included one for a loss of minus-1 yard...also had five tackles (two solo) in his first intercollegiate start at Louisiana-Monroe (10/16) and another five (three solo) in the season finale at Florida Atlantic (12/4)...came off the bench to record four tackles (three unassisted) at New Mexico State (10/30)...posted two assisted tackles and broke up a pair of pass attempts in his collegiate debut at nationally-ranked Stephen F. Austin (10/9).

Florida High School: Another all-around athlete who played four years each of football, basketball and track...All-Big Bend, all-district and team MVP for coach Mike Hickman...all-state performer who threw the winning TD pass with 46 seconds remaining in a 20-18 win over Havana Northside...a two-way player as a running back/cornerback in high school.

Personal: Born November 13, 1985...chose FIU over interest shown by Nicholls State, Appalachian State, Middle Tennessee and Florida A&M...son of Lionell and Betty Singleton...member of the FIU Honor Roll...Sports Management major.
